My working life started as a motor vehicle technician, I enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. As time went on my love of tinkering with mechanical things evolved and I became interested in the design factors as well. These two aspects of my personality came together when a business opportunity arose within the Waste and Cleansing Industry, due to changes in the regulations on waste collection. I designed, built and patented a "Wheeled  Bin" cleaning machine and have successfully operated that business for nearly 12 years. The business grew steadily and now as well as running several of my own bin cleaning vehicles I franchise the machine all over the UK.

However my interests in Boxing, Martial Arts etc., have never diminished and I carried on going to the gym and working out everyday and still do. In fact I now run my own amateur boxing gym and am also a registered Coach training local youths. It is with this background that I identified the need for a more technical and measured way of using a punch bag whilst training. I had discussions with Joe and others on how best this need could be met and so the idea for Counter-Punch began.

From that original idea, Counter-Punch developed to its present day form. Joe Calzaghe has been using it for some time now and swears by it, due to the technical advantages it offers. It's only now as Joe has triumphantly reached the pinnacle of his outstanding boxing career, we have decided to let the world into his secret on developing his hand speed, stamina and punching rate.
